Private Lessons

Private lessons have many advantages. When you enroll in an individual English program, you will have the benefit of the instructor’s undivided attention, the lesson content and pace will be tailored to your personal needs and learning style, and you will have more input than large classroom settings. This results in a more rapid learning process and a more gratifying outcome.

Private lessons are usually scheduled once or twice per week, depending on your goals for language improvement and the intensity level needed to achieve those goals. Private lessons are also available with less frequency for more advanced students. Another advantage to private lessons is that you will have the opportunity to reschedule when needed.

Private students will be asked to complete occasional assignments and to spend time in personal practice in between lessons, but these activities are not required. The rate of success of the program depends greatly on the student’s personal motivation.

If an individual contracts the language instruction, they will have complete freedom to choose subject matter and scheduling/location. If an employer sponsors the private training of an individual, the company will determine course objectives and whether scheduling lessons during the workday or in the workplace is acceptable.
